Monthly Archives: April 2016

It’s Tuesday, and we have a rare visitor…

… no, I haven’t told them, but yes, work is actually going to let me off for the evening.

We haven’t thought about what to do or who else might be available but I’ll be there. The things most on my mind are (1) getting the data back to Selkirk – I’ve got a wee problem with my data processing and I’m going to have to not read everything into memory this time around in my conversion script; and (2) actually setting up the electricity meter reading as a service for South Queensferry, because I still haven’t done that. But those are really solitary activities!

I also want to figure out how to write up some of the things we did at St Columba’s and Selkirk, because other properties are interested in seeing – what can a place learn by doing this kind of experimentation?

Anyway, as we’ve found before, a bunch of smart people in a room full of kit – we’ll figure it out. I’ll be happy to see you there. 7:30, City of Edinburgh Methodist – until then…
