With our bicycle wheel interactive stall design, we intend to have the public touch one of six old metal buttons with something metal (say, a fork, or a hacked old telephone receiver) and make that have some effect on a set of RGB LEDs embedded in a flower in the fascia of the wheel.
… but there are some things I’d quite like to do.
It may be July, but we are HeatHack-ing tonight (Tuesday, 14 July, 7:30 pm, City of Edinburgh Methodist basement), and it’s a session that should have something for everyone. The picture is a hint – it’s our usual “here’s half of one I did earlier”, but this time I actually did it myself. It’s all in service of the bicycle wheel and, once we have a basic design, our own display for Doors Open Day. We still won’t be assembling a finished piece, though. Today is part technical – understanding the electronic componentry – and part artistic – designing the user experience for the stall.
